At E-Controls, we offer specific solutions for monitoring consumption and temperature in residential buildings to achieve a Breeam "Very Good" rating: devices for mass reading of electric meters in all units within the building, data logging for future visualization through trend graphs, monitoring of cold and domestic hot water consumption via meter readings, measurement of temperature and humidity in key areas of each unit, control of indoor climate units to adjust the temperature of each home to the specific needs of its occupants, control of machine rooms with centralized heat pumps, storage tanks, recirculation pumps, and mixing valves to provide hot water to all units.
All consumption monitoring is performed using standard protocols such as Modbus RTU and M-Bus, which are commonly used by meter manufacturers in the market.
Data can be visualized by each homeowner via their mobile device, both at home and remotely.
At the end of each month, an email is sent to the property manager with consumption information for each unit, allowing owners to pay according to their actual usage.
In this residential building in Barcelona, we monitored 100 electric meters and 200 water meters (both cold and domestic hot water), with all data recorded in a graphical management software system, such as SCADA, for building control and BMS management of the installation.
