The new family of controllers from our represented brand, LOYTEC, is programmed using the L-STUDIO tool and consists of models LIOB-590, LOIB-591, LIOB-592, LIOB-593, LIOB-594, LIOB-595, and LIOB-596. These devices are designed to offer advanced solutions for building automation, standing out for their versatility and integration capabilities.

These controllers are notable for their extensive compatibility with various communication protocols and their advanced visualization and configuration capabilities through integrated web servers.

Key Communication Protocols:

  • BACnet/IP and BACnet/SC: Compatibility with BACnet over IP and BACnet Secure Connect, ensuring seamless interoperability in automation networks.
  • Modbus TCP and RTU: Support for Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU protocols, enabling communication with a wide range of industrial devices.
  • LonMark Systems: Integration with LonMark systems for standardized communication in building automation.
  • OPC (OPC XML-DA and OPC UA): Exposure of data points as OPC tags for higher-level client applications or L-WEB systems, providing encrypted SSL web services.
  • MP-Bus: Direct connection to Belimo actuators and sensors via MP-Bus, enabling efficient and simplified control of HVAC components without additional interfaces.

Integrated Web Servers:

  • Graphical BMS/SCADA Visualization: The LIOB-59X controllers feature an integrated graphical interface that allows SCADA-type web pages to be created for monitoring and control. These graphical interfaces can be accessed from any PC, smartphone, or tablet with IP connectivity, eliminating the need for an additional web server.
  • Hardware Control and Configuration: Through the integrated web server, users can configure and control the LIOB-59X hardware, including input and output parameterization, alarm management, schedule programming, and trend analysis, facilitating comprehensive automation system management.

These controllers include multiple powerful and flexible features, making them an ideal compact solution for applications ranging from Air Handling Units (AHUs) to electrical panel control with up to 40 I/Os or complex fan-coil management with field devices communicating via Modbus RTU.

Key Technical Features:

  • Universal Inputs/Outputs (I/Os): The models vary in the number of universal I/Os, adapting to different control needs. For instance, the LIOB-592 has 40 universal I/Os, 12 of which can be configured as 4-20 mA outputs, while the LIOB-593 includes 16 universal I/Os and 7 relay outputs. Universal I/Os can be configured as various types of inputs (0-10V analog, 4-20 mA analog, resistive, digital, or pulse input) or as a 0-10V output that, through an external relay, can be converted into a digital output, offering incredible flexibility for any project.
  • Integrated LCD Screen: All controllers in this series are equipped with a 128x64 pixel backlit LCD graphical display and a jog dial, facilitating local control and manual value override. Device information and data points are displayed in text format and graphical symbols.
  • Ethernet Ports and Network Topologies: Equipped with dual Ethernet ports and an integrated switch, these controllers support daisy-chain topology for up to 20 devices, reducing IP network installation costs. They also enable a redundant Ethernet installation in a ring topology, enhancing system reliability. This redundancy is achieved using the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP), which is compatible with most managed switches.
  • VPN Connectivity: Secure communication via a VPN can be configured over Ethernet/IP or 4G modules such as LTE-800. The integrated VPN function supports OpenVPN technology, ensuring encrypted communication over the IP network, facilitating remote management and monitoring of remote sites.
  • Power Supply and Communications: These devices operate on 24V AC/DC and support multiple communication protocols, including Modbus RTU (some models does not include it), facilitating integration into various building automation system architectures.

Wireless Communication Expansion:

These controllers offer three options for wireless connectivity with other network elements:

  • Wi-Fi (LWLAN-800): Compatibility with the LWLAN-800 interface allows for adding Wi-Fi wireless connectivity to the controllers, simplifying integration into existing WLAN networks.
  • 4G/LTE (LTE-800): Using the LTE-800 interface, controllers can connect to 4G mobile networks, providing wireless access to remote sites through a mobile service provider. This solution is ideal for locations where wired connectivity is limited or unavailable.
  • EnOcean (LENO-800): The LENO-800 interface enables communication with EnOcean wireless devices, expanding control and monitoring capabilities without requiring additional wiring.

These connectivity and expansion options make the LIOB-59X controllers a versatile and adaptable solution for various building automation applications, offering flexibility in integration and communication with different technologies, protocols, and communication media.

IoT Module with Node.js
The LIOB-59X controllers feature a powerful IoT module based on Node.js, enabling the creation of custom applications for data processing, cloud service integration, and advanced automation development. Thanks to this functionality, the devices can interact with REST APIs, external databases, and IoT platforms without requiring additional hardware.

This module adds an extra layer of flexibility for projects that require connectivity with modern digital infrastructures, facilitating interoperability with cloud-based solutions and Big Data environments.

Comparison with Other Market Solutions:
