Overview

The new family of programmable I/O modules LIOB and multiprotocol programmable automation servers LINX, used for climate production control, remote control of electrical panels, and lighting control among other applications, offer a set of functions that can be freely programmed like a PLC. They are based on the IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499 programming standards.

The course provides the necessary training to develop control applications using L-STUDIO software, based on structured programming with functional blocks.

The course lasts 2 days and the syllabus includes the following topics:

  • Introduction to the L-STUDIO programming environment
  • Concepts and structure of the IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499 languages
  • Creating logical functions with datapoints and graphics
  • Working with functional blocks, device types, and resources
  • System testing and verification
  • Using alarms, schedules, and history (AST)
  • Developing a complete project with programmable logic and graphics
  • The LOYTEC building automation function library
  • Working with the LOYTEC building automation function library

The course schedule for this year is as follows:

Tailored training, at E-Controls’ or the client’s facilities

E-Controls offers training courses for integrators, designed to ensure maximum benefit from their automation solutions. These courses combine theoretical and practical content, with the goal of mastering the programming tool and the basic principles of each course by the end.

These courses are available both at E-Controls' facilities in Barcelona and at the client's location, providing flexibility and adaptability to the specific needs of each case.

For companies that prefer to receive training in their own work environment, E-Controls offers on-site training services. A specialized technician travels to the client's premises to deliver the course, ensuring that participants gain practical, hands-on knowledge directly applicable to their systems and specific projects. This modality reduces travel, optimizes attendees' time, and ensures that the training is focused on the company’s real needs. Courses at client facilities require a minimum of 4 participants.

For more information on courses and availability, E-Controls provides customer support through its website.

The Programmable Controllers Course provides a system integrator with the necessary knowledge to develop any type of automation and control project, using multiprotocol programmable controllers that feature the most well-known communication buses on the market, such as LonWorks, BACnet, Modbus, KNX, and M-Bus.

It is recommended that the student has advanced knowledge in:

  • HVAC systems and industrial plant control
  • PLC programming
  • Buses and building automation systems (LON, BACnet, Modbus, etc.)
  • Knowledge of datapoint concepts and I/O configuration for LOYTEC products (L-INX Configurator)
  • Knowledge of the LVIS Configurator program for creating graphical projects (L-VIS and L-WEB)
