Overview

The LOY-SPE2 is a dual Single-Pair Ethernet (SPE) converter designed to increase transmission distance in Ethernet networks from 200 to 1000 meters, overcoming the limitations of standard Ethernet cabling. This device significantly reduces infrastructure costs by allowing the use of a single twisted pair instead of Cat5e or Cat6 cables, simplifying installation and facilitating integration in large-scale projects or those with physical constraints, such as logistics warehouses, airports, shopping centers, and other large buildings.

Additionally, the LOY-SPE2 complies with the 10BASE-T1L (IEEE 802.3cg) standard, ensuring stable and efficient connectivity for devices distributed over long distances while maintaining a data transfer rate of 10 Mbit/s. No special configuration is required; just connect it, and it is ready to operate.

This device is an ideal solution for both new buildings and retrofits. In refurbishment projects, it allows existing twisted pair cables to be reused to replace old equipment and connect it to modern Ethernet devices. Compatible devices include LINX automation servers, LIOB I/O modules, Modbus TCP e-Bus Modular IP modules, and e-Room Modular IP fan-coil controllers. In these cases, simply place a LOY-SPE2 at each end of the twisted pair cable to ensure communication.
