Multilamp is an outdoor lighting remote control solution designed to reduce lighting facility energy consumption and to provide luminaire condition monitoring and control. The system reports the condition of each light in addition to luminaire failures, thus contributing to safe and easy monitoring by the installer and maintenance companies; this allows operating and maintenance cost reductions and an increased city council and end user satisfaction.

Multilamp consists of different possible device configurations that cover any lighting control requirement for either street lighting or private construction outdoor facilities. From low budget simple installations to solutions that respond to the most stringent energy saving and remote management demands.

The flexibility offered by Multilamp presents the market with manifold solutions for outdoor and street lighting control. From basic systems for selective luminaire on/off control to comprehensive packages for independent street lamp dimming, maximally optimising the most demanding energy saving requirements.

This system uses a data transmission process that takes advantage of the already existing mains wiring at the facility (known as PowerLine communication or PLC); electrical panel control elements may thus communicate with the luminaires in each circuit without adding extra wiring to the installation. This process operates under the standard EN 14908 communication protocol, also known as LonWorks®. Multilamp is a real Open System, compliant with the LonMark® established interoperability standards; it allows installers and maintenance companies to address any lighting management requirement with confidence towards future expansion and adaption to any customer requirement at all times.
